What is NeuroFascia?

The fascial system consists of the three-dimensional continuum of soft, collagen-containing, loose and dense fibrous connective tissues that permeate the body. Simply stated, it’s that silk that allows the body to slide and glide.

Why is it so important?

Fascia contains 25% of your body’s water, 10x more pain fibers than muscle and 1000% (Yes, 1000%!) more sensory fibers than muscle. It’s designed to slide and glide. To allow easy, fluid motion.

What is Rapid NeuroFascial Reset?

NeuroFascial Reset is a new soft tissue, movement-based, technique that addresses the central nervous system’s role in alleviating pain, tension, and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.

Every session is a combination of examination and treatment. Your therapist uses their hands to evaluate your body’s texture, tightness, and movement. Hypersensitive areas are treated by combining precisely directed tension with precise patient movements.

NFR sessions may be uncomfortable during the movement phase of the treatment. This occurs as the neurological system is being stimulated to restore normal function.

Clients choose NFR because of the quick response to treatment. Treating the body at the neurological level stimulates a reprogramming of the tight tissues so that muscles relax, range of motion is restored and pain is diminished. This helps individuals get back to life and living.

What NFR Actually Does

NFR uses precise, hands-on pressure and specific contact points to stimulate neurological responses while physically addressing fascial restrictions. The practitioner works through layers of tension and helps the body:

Break up or release adhesions

Interrupt long-standing tension patterns

Improve communication between fascia and the nervous system

Restore mobility in areas that have become limited

Because it involves direct work with restricted tissue, NFR can feel strong, intense, or uncomfortable, especially when addressing long-term tightness. The intention is always therapeutic.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept most insurance coverage. We'd be happy to verify your coverage for you.

What should i wear?

Please wear comfortable, loose clothing without a lot of buttons, snaps, or zippers. A t-shirt and a pair of leggings or pajama pants work nicely.

How long are the sessions?

The sessions are schedule in 15 minute blocks. We offer 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute sessions.

How long does it take to notice a difference in my symptoms?

Very often (actually, almost every time) symptoms are decreased, if not gone, at the end of the session.

How will I feel the next day?

Because we’re initiating an inflammation cascade, you may feel like you’ve had a good workout at the gym. Movement and increasing fluids will help ease any discomfort.

I already see a Chiropractor and a Massage Therapist. How is this technique different?

Chiropractic focuses primarily on the brain and spinal cord. Massage Therapy focuses on the muscle. Rapid NeuroFascial Reset focuses on the damaged, sticky areas of fascia. We often receive referrals from chiropractors and massage therapists.
